Update from Germany!

I borrowed a computer for the afternoon from a friend so hopefully I can catch you all up on what has been going on here in Germany.

Well, first things first. The Lord is to be praised and thanked. There seems to be an over abundance of lessons being learned amongst us here. For sure a lot of these lessons are not easy but the Lord is working amongst this body in a very real and powerful way and that is such a blessing to see and experience. I know for me personally the Lord has really been stressing the importance of obedience to Him. I know, your probably thinking "obedience? I mean Lydia how old are you? Shouldn't you have that one kind of figured out?" Since childhood my parents taught me the importance and benefits of being obedient. Unfortunatley, I seem to be blessed with a incredibly thick head. Daily I find myself relearning how to choose obedience in the small things. He is incredibly patient with me though and His Word is such a blessing to strengthen me in my resolve to follow Him. Anyway that is a super short synopsis of what the Lord is doing.

Life here is good. There are more students attending the extension campus here in Seigen than ever before and it is such a blessing. We have about a hundred of us here between staff and students and we have such a cool family environment. There are people here from the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Ethiopia and it seems like I am forgetting a couple but you get the picture. We are very language confused sometimes but it makes it really funny when people get tired. School has been going on for a little over a month now so everyone has pretty much settled into there classes and jobs. I am in charge of housekeeping this semester. I am convinced more than ever that we serve a God that likes to laugh. For those of you that have lived with me. You know how funny it is for me to be in charge of housekeeping. To say the least this is not something that I expected but I have already seen how the Lord is preparing me and equipping me for the future. I am blessed to lead a team of ten guys and girls in keeping the campus and the all of the school facilities clean. It is a great group and we seem to have fun even when we are scrubbing down bathrooms.

In general all is well here in rainy Seigen and I am so blessed to have all of you in my life. Thank you for your prayers and support.

God Bless you all,

Lydia

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruit, without partiality and without hypocrisy."
James 3:17

Lydia,

More than you know, obedience is not something I think you still need to learn other than to say we all have our little issues now and again. May your dreams be blessed is something that I have prayed for you since you were little enough to have dreams so I will continue. I like this blogspot and I love you very much.... Dad

Lydia Joy you are a joy to all you touch. Keep touching people with your prayers, smle and all that you do. It is God's busy to expand this in the way he see best. Wow it will only be a few more months and that back to California. Granny and Papa are going tomorrow to see Ella Joy and all the rest of the family. Danille and I wish we could go but work and school just must come first. However we all looking forward to our Alaskan cruise in June. I continue to pray that God will protect you and bless and multiple all the good that you are involved with. Love ya Hannah

Love the pictures of the doors. We are so blessed to see you with those doors, and honor you with our prayers. We all love you so very much. May the Lord's love shine out of you awesomely, and may the Holy Spirit be in the cooking kitchen with you. May your loaves and fishes be abundant. May the wisdom from God be more! Mom
