Update from Germany!

I borrowed a computer for the afternoon from a friend so hopefully I can catch you all up on what has been going on here in Germany.

Well, first things first. The Lord is to be praised and thanked. There seems to be an over abundance of lessons being learned amongst us here. For sure a lot of these lessons are not easy but the Lord is working amongst this body in a very real and powerful way and that is such a blessing to see and experience. I know for me personally the Lord has really been stressing the importance of obedience to Him. I know, your probably thinking "obedience? I mean Lydia how old are you? Shouldn't you have that one kind of figured out?" Since childhood my parents taught me the importance and benefits of being obedient. Unfortunatley, I seem to be blessed with a incredibly thick head. Daily I find myself relearning how to choose obedience in the small things. He is incredibly patient with me though and His Word is such a blessing to strengthen me in my resolve to follow Him. Anyway that is a super short synopsis of what the Lord is doing.

Life here is good. There are more students attending the extension campus here in Seigen than ever before and it is such a blessing. We have about a hundred of us here between staff and students and we have such a cool family environment. There are people here from the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Ethiopia and it seems like I am forgetting a couple but you get the picture. We are very language confused sometimes but it makes it really funny when people get tired. School has been going on for a little over a month now so everyone has pretty much settled into there classes and jobs. I am in charge of housekeeping this semester. I am convinced more than ever that we serve a God that likes to laugh. For those of you that have lived with me. You know how funny it is for me to be in charge of housekeeping. To say the least this is not something that I expected but I have already seen how the Lord is preparing me and equipping me for the future. I am blessed to lead a team of ten guys and girls in keeping the campus and the all of the school facilities clean. It is a great group and we seem to have fun even when we are scrubbing down bathrooms.

In general all is well here in rainy Seigen and I am so blessed to have all of you in my life. Thank you for your prayers and support.

God Bless you all,

Lydia
